Our Beliefs

We believe there is one God who is existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His sacrificial death for humanity, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and in His personal future return in power and glory.

We believe the Bible is the written Word of God. It is the infallible rule of faith and practice for the church of Jesus Christ.

We believe we are brought to faith in Christ and grow in that faith by the continuing work of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the mission of the Church is to bear witness to God's law and gospel in words and deeds, and to make disciples of Christ in all nations.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to eternal life with God, the lost to eternal separation from God.

We confess as our own the faith embodied in the Apostles' Creed.

At MCC,

We Are Congregational

...in our belief that through Jesus Christ each individual Christian may have personal and intimate fellowship with God.  We also embrace the traditional congregational emphases of union in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and a spirit of love in all matters.  A growing, uncompromising faith in Christ is the essential.  Around that center, there is liberty for each Christian to work out the particulars of his or her own faith individually.

We Are Evangelical

...in the original Biblical sense of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Through  faith in Him, we are restored to God, the Author of Life and our loving Heavenly Father.  We seek to live this truth in our own lives and to obey Jesus' great commission to proclaim it within our communities and throughout the world.
